Graduation... Just A Speech.

My English teacher asked us to write a speech, which we would hold on our Graduation... Of course I loved this idea, and made many people think about the passed years... As it was written as a speech I marked some stressings, I used while speaking.

Graduates, at first I want to ask you something: How do you feel? I mean, we’ve been together for seven years – about half of our life’s so far. We went through happy times and through not that happy times. How do you feel?

We met as strangers and leave as friends! Are we really leaving each other? When will we ever see each other again? What’s gonna happen tomorrow? All these questions and no answers, but this one: We are able to think about it, we got educated to open exactly these doors, don’t be afraid of walking through them – just take this new challenge; you worked so hard for it. How do you feel?

Each of us had more than one Waterloo. How many are still waiting for us? Just don’t think about it, not tonight – think about your successes – at least we graduated. How do you feel?

About 19 years are behind us – I hope I got at least 60 ahead of me. No matter what is waiting for me, no matter who is waiting for me, but this matters: I build a base, a base called DIPLOMA.

Let’s make this moment last for ages, we fought so long – enjoy it; here and now.
By leaving this ceremony tonight, and going out of this building, you are stepping into YOUR own personal future – do something out of it!

But remember your life long: How do you feel?

I hope you like it. What do you think about it? Could this be an actual speech for the graduation ceremony?
